#480

I was supposed to be doing double coursework this week - genetics clinic plus the final week of my business school class. I made it through Monday and Tuesday successfully. But after a 14 hour business plan writing session on Wednesday with yesterday filled with writing and presenting said business plan, I just didn't feel like going into cancer genetics clinic today. So I didn't. And I didn't tell anyone. Ooops. Such is the life of the 4th year approaching their very last week of medical school. That's right, I finish next Friday. The geneticist I work with is also my very good mentor. I'm sure he'll notice, and I'm sure he'll understand.

And I couldn't resist posting these pretties.

A DIY lilac bouquet, courtesy of Chelsea from (frolic!), by way of Project Wedding. It's almost lilac season here Upstate...I saw the most beautiful tree yesterday, all white and flowery with tulips planted around the trunk's circumference. How I will my miss my little apartment so.

Beautiful flowers in bottles at Eat, Drink, Chic's surprise wedding. There's just something so clever about bottles and red, orange, and hot pink flowers. (Yes, I like hot pink in this instance, but only because it's paired with orange and red.)

Clever origami invitations, also from Eat, Drink, Chic. I have a 30 birthday coming up soon; I might just have to use these two ideas. (Yes, my resume includes origami was one of my "personal interests." I've just never discussed it on the DW blog.)
