In a conscious effort to better understand what exactly it is Tom hopes to do with his life, I enrolled in a course at the business school called "Medical Entrepreneurship." This class is a combined course between the medical school and the business school, and is a total gut. Two weeks of lecture, about 3 hours a day, followed by 2 weeks of writing a business plan and pitching an idea to local venture capitalists. Let's here it for no clinic time!
Today's class was about technology commercialization and securing funding for your idea - lots of talk about "angel investors" and venture capitalists. As all good lectures should, this one ended with a movie. Enjoy. (Disclaimer: this video contains some offensive bits.)
