So I finally finished uploading the Quebec City photos - they're in two albums here, one devoted to the Chateau (we were obsessed with the scene from our window which was very Harry Potter-esque), and one of street scenes around town. Tom tried a new thing with shooting the images as RAW files, which are supposedly better for editing purposes. To my eye, this was not a good idea because the photos are too crisp. Essentially, they came out as everything I hate about digital photos because they've lost that dreamy, hazy quality of 35 mm. There's probably a way to correct for this, but my surgery-addled brain is going to bed.
