Genius

A few months back, I posted about dollhouse microscopes. Tom's Dad, Gary, has a collection of old microscopes, and I've watched Tom on more than one occasion rescue an old scientific balance or microscope to send his Dad's way. I'd like to take credit for inspiring Gary to make this, but the man's brilliance is really all his own. Here's a mock-up of a microscope Gary made using pieces from the local hobby stores and a test tube that can apparently be etched with our names and the date. The coolest part of the design is that the test tube/eyepiece can function as a bud vase. The question is how to use these...they would work well at the rehearsal dinner, but I think they should be used more prominently than that. If they're not too hard to make, they could be used as a centerpiece, or some part of the decor scheme - maybe on the guest book table? Any suggestions?

In other news, I made so little this year that I am being refunded more than I paid in taxes. Yes, it's true, Tom is marrying a welfare queen.
