#518

So...this is the most random post ever. It's about a bathroom, Tom's new bathroom specifically. So much has changed in the last few months and the magnitude has been so overwhelming that I've stopped from writing about my life. Maybe, also, I'm just tired as I head into the last month of my internship. (Yes, I shall be released.)

So, back to Tom. Yes, he graduated and he walked in regalia. (On three occasions!) And he got himself a fancy, important, big boy job...in another city. At exactly the one year mark in our adventure living together, Tom packed up his things and moved to Philadelphia. At least it's only 2 hours a way from NYC. But I do so miss my 400 mile drive through streams and snow Upstate. Now we have cell phone towers disguised as trees as we commute down with the denizens of the Jersey Shore.

The only good of this whole thing is that I get a whole 'nother place to decorate. Tom has rented a largish studio across the street from his office. It's a bit worse for wear, but has a lot of potential.

Especially the bathroom.

Forthwith, here is my schema for the ultimate mod bathroom:

Sources (clockwise from top left)

Bathmat...West Elm
Towels...Bed, Bath, and Beyond
Tumblers...West Elm
Shower Curtain...West Elm
Brown bottles (pump and squeeze)...Specialty Bottle Co
Simple Human trash can...Amazon
Simple Human shower caddy...Amazon
Hooks...Pottery Barn
Cabinet...Ikea

As a bonus, here's a shot of the kitchen. We put a small eating/working area just to the left:
