A few months ago, the character, 13, from "House, MD" wore a necklace I haven't been able to stop thinking about. It was a series of 3 simple silver coins dropped in a layer fashion. Coin necklaces are all of the rage right now, so you'd think a replica would be easy to find. Think again, my dearies. After months and months of search on all sorts of fashion and jewelry supply websites (no joke...this is me we're talking about, after all), I found it, in gold, on...Etsy. Surprised?
This version is really pretty and well done, but I just don't have the heart to spend $75. Eventually, I stumbled upon Fire Mountain Gems and think I can whip up a replica in silver for, oh, $17.40. And I'd have some extra components left over to make a few more.
What do the good people say? Go for it or not?
