I never understood my college classmates whose parents were doctors. They also seemed so afraid of the world. 6 weeks through inpatient internal medicine, I think I know where they are coming from. One of the biggest boogeymen is hypertension, and a great way to work with it is to eat on the DASH diet. Recipes are hard to come across, but I found this great website from the Mayo Clinic with DASH diet recipes. Kind of a random post, but some of the recipes look really tasty (and easy).
