The Reveal

I've been waiting weeks to post pictures of these, and now that my ladies have finally received theirs, I can show them off. At first, sending out an official "Will You Be My Bridesmaid?" card seemed like a bit much. Perhaps fetishizing the wedding. But then I thought, oh heck, why not? I'm excited about the wedding, it's not wrong to spread that excitement. And I achieved what I set out to do: making my ladies feel special and needed. So, here goes:

First, I bought a hot glue gun at Michael's, some ribbon, and some fabric flowers and made matching rings for my ladies to wear (the sign of the elite society they have now joined) based on an idea from Martha. (Who knew glue guns were that cheap and accessible?)

Then I made a card using some fun clipart I purchased from iStockPhoto, Bickham Script (thanks, Tom!), and Nadall (from DaFont) fonts .

And then I designed some wrap-around labels based on a template from la Martha. (The ballerina is from CK Victorian Silhouettes font, found via iDiY.)

Then I packaged them up, wished them well, and dropped them in the mailbox.

I know this will be shocking since I'm not very crafty, but I have a hot glue gun and glue you could have borrowed. Also, Josh and I loved the wrap around label and we plan on stealing the idea for our wedding invites.

It was very nice and thoughtful of you to send the card and ring! I'm very excited to stand with you on your special day!

You know I thought "of course, she made these" the second I saw it. I love it!
