I used to be the girl who sent valentines...never missed a year. I remember as a senior in high school, one of my classmates related that she had saved one I had made for her in eighth grade. (And no, this wasn't the Blog Sidekick.) Fast forward a dozen years (!), and I have neglected my valentines duties for the past year, along with my holiday cards. I reason that people will understand, given that I just got married and have been flying madly around the country for residency interviews. And yet, I still fell bad about not sending valentines this year.
But I haven't been forgotten, no. Just yesterday, I received two valentines in the mail.
From Rosie, my wonderful "big sister":
And my Aunt Annette in Texas. (No picture of her as she was unfortunately unable to make the wedding - although she sure tried!)
Thanks for thinking of me, Rosie and Annette. May you all remember the special people in your lives.
