A while back (okay...a long time ago, like, a year ago), I toyed around with the idea of making pinwheels to give out as favors. It seemed like a quirky, whimsical (ahem) notion. I came up with the idea on my own, but I think I must have been listening to the zeitgeist, because a lot of people have had the same idea recently. I tried my hand at making them, but was really put off by the difficulty. How are these difficult, you ask? Try shoving a map pin through a wooden dowel and you'll get the idea. My mother will. not. let. this. idea. die. And I've been struggling with this one, until today, when I hit upon a brilliant solution around the dowel, courtesy of The Long Thread...lollipop sticks! Yes!!!!!!!
