I'm fortunate that the medical school I attend has a singular interest in medical education and training the next generation of medical educators. I once heard, and mind you this is totally uncorroborated, that 40% of medical school deans nationally are graduates of my school. Last year the school created a "pathway" (think of it as a college minor) in medical education, and my mother and Tom encouraged me (nay, pressured me) into joining the inaugural class. (Yay, Obama!) My obligations include giving lectures, leading small discussion groups, writing test questions, and attending a few journal clubs and lectures on learning theory. Today's journal club introduced me to some websites about learning styles. This is something I've been meaning to look into for a while now as I've found it incredibly difficult to study in medical school. I'm not sure if I have changed as a student or if my smoldering ADHD has suddenly caught fire, but I've been needing some advice on how to improve my study habits. A short quiz later, I've determined that I am a kinesthetic learner. How much sense this makes! Unfortunately, there's not a lot to do to make studying better, because the best way kinesthetic learners learn is by doing. Which reminds me, I think I should showcase my (self-taught) Illustrator skills. Behold our semi-final Save the Date design. I really love this one, okay Tom?

Dude, I'm wondering if the title of this post is a pithy play on words referring to the extensive amount of testing you must complete on various pathologies.
Isn't it fun being a teacher?
LOVING this Save the Date!! I am a sucker for those fonts.
Fun blog, btw :-)
