ABCD Paper Cupp Designs

Oh my goodness, I just HAD to share the following images. Just after I got engaged, I ran across an invitation suite that I thought was unbelievably charming. The bride had designed the suite herself, and it was one of those things that got me thinking I might be able to design mine myself. (Months later I realize I lack some serious talent in this department, but that's another story...) Southern Weddings - where I get a ton of inspiration - featured her wedding today (a definite must see because it radiates the kind of joy I'm hoping to), but it also turns out that she has started a graphic design business (Paper Cupp) based on the success of her invitation design.

Using the subway map to make her bridal dress? Wicked priceless. How cool would this be for a bridal shower invitation?!

And while we're on the subject of NYC-themed invitations, check out the design below for a wedding in St. Louis. There are many reasons why this is cool, not least of which because this is Tom's hometown.

As a bonus, check out her office. I love this. (Why not? I'm just totally sweating this woman's style.)

About two weeks ago I was re-reading my 2008 Summer MS Weddings (yeah, I'm like that) and there's this one wedding that I keep coming back to. I've written about it for (see the last post and the gray suits) and, while not my visual style, this wedding has so many clever ideas and so much good taste that I'm mining it. (I guess that's what happens the bride is a former art director at Martha Stewart and fellow alumna.) Anyway, one of the ideas I LOVED were these little note pad favors in the shape of matchbooks. You can buy them here (a really nice favor site, by the way) but today I found downloadable instructions for them from the coco + kelley blog.

While I think the design is pretty, I bet my lack-of-talent self could come up with a more personal design to use. These are freakishly easy to make, but then again I say that about every craft project I meet. That is, until I try them.

Whoa, I've missed a ton! You have a photographer? That's great. I seriously keep having awesome dress, shoe, and hair fantasies.
