#430

In my fantasy, Tom would let me go for the "post-wedding chop" of my dreams (I had that exact haircut my senior year of high school), and I'd make crafts all day while listening to French music.

On a few occasions when we were planning the wedding, Tom asked me about how I would ever live after the wedding was over. In other words, what could I possibly obsess over next? That's easy: crafts and home decor. Here are a few projects I recently completed.

Fabric rosette flower pins for my aunt and grandmother (directions here and here):

Fabric napkins for my sister-in-law, Bonnie (aka the most beautiful woman alive). I adapted these instructions for a sewing machine, but next time, instead of sewing 4 separate hems, I would pin the whole piece and simply raise the presser foot and turn the fabric.

(Had to find some way to use all of those Williams-Sonoma pineapple molds. I'll give $100 to anyone who can find a classy pineapple mezuzah.)

And thanks to Gary and Tom, we discovered how to hack a Cricut machine. For those who know what a Cricut machine is, the program is called "Sure Cuts a Lot." We made "landing strip" dishes following these directions and using black vinyl sheets, white dishes from Target, and Mod Podge.

I'd love to recreate this Ikea-based entryway that I found on Remodelista.

I adore this site, and stayed up until 3 in the morning the day I found it, just oohing and ahhing over what I found. I am contemplating recreating this bedroom:

But that would mean fashioning a slipcover for Tom's headboard...I feel a craft project coming on.

Is that the model from Anthropologie!? I've been dying over her haircut for days now.
