5:45A - 15 minutes from signing out to the oncoming day team, jonesing for my cup of coffee they will be bringing, one of the patients falls out of bed and bumps his head. 25 minutes discussing CT scans with the fellow and I'm late for sign-out.
7:55A - Wow, it sure takes a long time to sit-round on 22 patients. Why can't they be normal kids with asthma, instead of kids with asthma, seizure-disorder, G-tube dependence, developmental delay, diarrhea..........

8:50A - miss Tom on his way in to work, catch the last 10 minutes of a lecture on neuroblastoma because I had to finish an admission note from 9P last night (whoops...) and write a note about my post-fall assessment.
9:30A - I discover this gem, and then promptly fall asleep
7:30P - is that Tom coming home? Did I really just sleep 10 hours?
7:45P - Tom surprises me with this:

11:24P - I should be asleep, but my body can't figure out if it's tired, hungry, nauseous, or about to vomit. 5 more hours until it's time to start over again.
