Man, the things I think I should write about in the mornings...and then don't in the evenings. I had the best Christmas present by far this year (besides the day off): the knowledge that I had completed exactly half of my internship. I've struggled over the last 3 weeks about whether or not I should write how sick my father has been and how we were hours from losing him and then had a happy ending and a Christmas miracle and he was home for Christmas barking orders from a chair about how to peel pearl onions and roast a large piece of beef. I suppose I'll never write about the experience again other than to say it was surreal and has made it oh so much harder to be a doctor when you see what a poor job your colleagues are doing. The bloom is certainly off the rose. I feel like I have to fight the daily battle ten times harder now.
In other news, Tom and I are starting to sell our furniture again. Forthwith,
some advice for posting on Craigslist.

And if I had better legs and a more glamorous life (wow, residency is depressing), I would definitely rock
this outfit on New Year's.

At least there's snow. How I missed my Upstate lake effect snow!

If you're more interested in getting rid of things than selling them, I've found that nothing beats the "Free Stuff" section of Craigslist. The hoarders come out in droves with an "I'll take everything" attitude. It's easier to let that happen than sell/give away everything individually.
Glad Norman is almost back to normal! Our prayers are with him.
